Thank you for your quick reply!
I followed the steps you described, I restarted my laptop between the steps because I was prompted to do so.

Now the service 'hasplms' is running but the page still can't be loaded. I tested the page also in internet explorer. Also i pinged successfully to 'localhost; .
I cannot turn off our firewall because it is controlled by group policy. But I don't think it's caused by the firewall because sometimes the page can be loaded.

Is there anyway to check the status or logging of the service? If it is hanging or just not responding?

BSOD when install Sentinel LDK SDK

HI,

I have a problem with 2 workstations (Dell T3610) when i want to install Sentinel LDK SDK 7.5.

This install is causing a BSOD related to iastora.sys. I updated BIOS and Raid controller drivers.

I have to disable sentinel service to boot windows normally.

What can i do to install this software properly?

Please be informed that the given issue is known to us and it has been fixed in the latest LDK runtime release.

 

Kindly use the below link to download the Runtime drivers and try to install the LDK SDK afterwards.

Installation steps:

1-     Open the folder location of haspdinst.exe in cmd (admin mode).

2-     Run the following commands :

>  haspdinst –purge (to remove previous installations)

>  haspdint –i (to install)

So if I understand correctly what you're saying, the option to enable/disable application execution on terminal clients is available to the developer of the software (the software in this case being EXACT/Examine Pro) and, therefore, the software vendor should be able to assist from this point if the hardware key is not recognised (assuming it is recognised by Safenet SAM). I that correct?

HASP vs Sentinel Desktop 12

Hi,
I have a problem with Sentinel- Hardlock dongle key on Parallels Desktop 12.
Paralleles detects the dongle key in the devices list but when I restart the Window VM the dongle is not connect anymore.
The same happen when the VM goes to sleep mode: when I wake up the VM, the dongle key is checked in the "Rapid USB menu" but the Windows VM cannot see it on Device Manager...

The only things that works is unplug and plug again the dongle while the VM is running...
or go in the top right corner in the USB Fast Menu and deselect and select again the dongle key...

I have tried a lot of things, from update the Sentinel HASP driver to make the permanent association in the USB Preferences of the VM...

In any case I have tried both and nothing changed: I must deselect an select again the dongle from the Rapid USB menu every time the VM is booted or wake up from sleep mode...

Any help?

Just to inform you, Hardlock is already End of Support\Development and also it is not tested on the environment in use.

 

To troubleshoot the issue, you may try installing our latest Hasp drivers from the below link:

You may also test if the issue we are facing happens with only Hardlock keys or any other USB devices? Also try using the Hardlock key on a physical machine and check if it works fine there or not?

Hi, thanks for your answer.
As I write, I have tried the last version of the driver, the 7.53 and nothing changed.

It's not a problem about the specific Hardlock Dongle Key, but I have the same issue with other dongle key and with other type of dongle, like the Sentinel Max.

I have no problem with a normal USB stick, it is recognize automaticcaly every time.
I have no problem with the dongle key on a physical machine.

The problem, infact, is with the combination MacOS with Parallels Desktop while running a Windows Vrtual Machine.

Even if the dongle is selected in the USB device of Paralles Desktop after a restart, the VM cannot "see" the dongle plugged; I must deselect it and reselect again (or unplug/plug manually) to active it.

I have also tried the permanent USB device association in the Parallels Desktop settings, but nothing changed.

Error when starting the Sentinel license manager service

Hi, I cannot install a HASP driver installation because the sentinel run-runtime enviroment shows me this error during installation, this is a windows application and Im running it on ubuntu with wine. Please see attached screenshot.

Please be informed that we can’t install the Sentinel RTE for windows over the Linux environment using wine application.

 

Hence, kindly use the link below to download and install the Linux (Ubuntu) drivers.

These drivers are of 32-bit architecture, hence if you are using 64 bit machine then you would require to run a compatibility script.

 

This is because the Linux environment doesn’t support 32 bit applications over 64 bit architecture.

Kindly refer to the “readme files” along with the packages for detailed installation steps.

Hi again,

It was possible to install the sentinel applications, but
unfortunately I couldnt run the application I wanted to run, I hoped it was for the sentinel package but it wasnt like that. I think the problem is with the wine application, but anyways thanks a lot.

Customer finds "Sentinel key not found (H0007)

I bundle a trial license haspdinst.exe installer that lasts for 60 days, my installer program effectively runs the command. 

How can I troubleshoot this? What are the probable causes for this error?

Thanks for sharing the concern. To troubleshoot further, kindly share the below information:

Application is protected with the same feature or not?
Is there any License installed?
Please share the ACC Screenshot also.
What is the version of RTE we are using?
        Please make sure that Application protection and License Generation is done using the same batch code.

Yes it's protected with the same feature. My installer ran haspdinst.exe -i, but no message other than the topic's title showed.

If I run "haspdinst.exe -info" I get Drivers version 7.41.

Is ACC installed in the client machine? How can I make sure? It is a trial (unlocked) license
